At the farmstead «Gården Li» you may experience the coastal life on this historical farm that was renovated in 2009. It overlooks the island Hidra and you may arrive by foot or by boat. The farmstead consists of a farm house and a barn. The house sleeps 16 guests and the barn 30 guests. The farmstead belongs to the association «Flekkefjord og Oplands Turistforening» (F.O.T.). The house needs to be pre-booked whereas the modern barn is available to members of the Norwegian Trekking Ass. (DNT/FOT) that owns a universal key.

The house has three bedrooms and can bed 16 people. The barn can fit 30 people; there is one bedroom in addition to a large room that can fit many mattresses. The rooms have bunk beds.
Booking: Lister booking
Both the house and the barn were renovated in 2009. The standard is basic and simple. The farmstead is unstaffed and is a no-service cabin which means you will have to bring your own food. There is no running water. Use the water bucket and collect water from the stream close to the house. It is highly recommended to boil the water as there are many sheep grazing in the area. There are solar panels to secure light at night. However, do bring your own head light and candles/matches. There is a gas oven for cooking and a wood oven for heating. For sleeping, you will find duvets and pillows, but make sure to bring a hut sack/sleeping bag liner. There are toilets at each building.
There is a Via Ferrata (climbing path) with 112 bolts and a wire by the sea at Dåtlandstrand. There are climbing equipment for 10 people at the house that can be rented by an experienced climber.
By Dåtlandstrand there are four kayaks for rent; two for children and two for adults. There are also life jackets. For safety reasons there are only kayak skirts for the adult kayaks. Rental must be pre-booked.
The farmstead is accessible by foot or by boat/kayak. For those arriving by sea mooring is available at the stone wharf at Dåtlandstrand. Follow the trail up the mountain. The house is located about 70 meters above sea level and it takes approximately 15 minutes to walk.
Between Flekkefjord and Åna-Sira along road Rv44 (The North Sea Road) is the area of Kvanvik. On arrival at Kvanvik (10 kilometres west of Flekkefjord) take a left by the sign for «Fidsel». Follow the gravelled road till the end. Parking area and start of the marked hiking trails. The distance to Li is 3 km. It is a relatively easy terrain for hiking even for children.
