From Hanesund into the gravel road along Helvik Fjord, past Straumen, up the Bøensbakken and down the Kjerringdalen to Sande. Follow Fv465 from Sande towards Opta, where you turn left at the gravel road towards Grimestad and left to Listeid. The asphalt road continues past Sigersvoll up to Heskestad, then turn left onto the gravel road towards Goldsmedbakk and onto another asphalt road. Turn left to Vanse school, Helvik and cross the gravel road past Straumen back to Hanesund.

There can be traffic from Sande to Open, otherwise there’s not too much.

The old road to Herad is an alternative way to Bøensbakken, following an asphalt road with little traffic.
