Around Storeheia

From Flekkefjord city center you can go on a nice hike west of the city up to Storeheia.
From the city park, you enter Nesgaten, turn left into Kildegaten and then right to Berget. Follow Berget to the left and take the first narrow street on the right which will lead to a set of stairs. Go up the stairs to Lilleheia. Here you can take a path on the left to the "New Lookout Point" (“Nytt utkikkspunkt”). Turn right towards Kleivan until you see a red sign for Storeheia, follow the sign between the houses down to a field and cross this.

Here by the mountain, Skredderstien begins on the way up to Storeheia, with stone stairs and railings at the most exposed sections. When you are getting closer to Storeheia, take only the good trail and red marks to Helletjørn. Here the trail crosses a marsh, but  wooden planks and grids have been placed on the trail to keep you dry. Just before the tractor trail to Helle where the trail splits to Strømland, follow the tractor trail to the residential area at Helle. From Helle, take the first gravel road and head onto the  paved road past Søyland elementary school, Søyland Chapel, Tjørsvågheimen and Søylandstjernet. The route continues on Fylkesvei 44 to the center.
