STØVLÅSEN

This is an easy hike on a well-marked and signposted path and trail that will take you to a beautiful viewing point. The hike is 1.9 km each way from the parking lot at the swimming area by Bakke bridge with a 117 meter climb in elevation. The hike takes about 45 min each way.

From the swimming area at Bakke bridge, go down the road and turn left after Bakke bridge. Go under the railway and up to an old white farmhouse that used to be an old police officer’s farm in Sira. Here you turn right and continue over the gravel road for 350 m where you will then enter a forest trail up over the highland. Follow the marks on the trail up through the forest and out to the viewpoint, 183 m above sea level. This has a beautiful view west towards Lundevatnet.
