STAKKSTEINSLIKNUTEN

An easily accessible peak, the highest point in the hills west of Snartemo-Brikeland. Gravel road up from Snartemo. Hiking trail from Eilivstad and forest road from Helle.

Staksteinsliknuten 625 meters above sea level is a great viewpoint. Great hiking area and skiing opportunities in winter.
The world's first digital weather radar was built here in 1999-2000 to about NOK 12 million. The range of 240 km covers the southern part of Norway and the near sea areas outside.
