Roundtrip Knaben - Hommen

Distance: 5 kilometers roundtrip.

Start under Knaben's most famous landmark – the Elevator Tower (Heistårnet). On the trip you will pass two mines and get great views of Knabedalen.

The trail runs south along the old path that miners from Eiken used when going to work at the mines. After 1.5 kilometers the trail turns westward, and then after additional 400 m passes the Hommen mine. This takes you past the mine, ruins of workers houses and mining. Nice view south.

The trail continues to the west and crosses a ridge before it goes down again and faces north toward Bragold mine. Then it continues back toward Knaben and turns gradually eastward back to the starting point
