If the ice is not safe, the track machine will make another trail that crosses the main road at Fidjeland via Degodden to Kvæven, otherwise you can cross the ski trail over Fidjelandsvatnet. The trail continues over a bridge on a traffic road and past the Degodden cabin area. The trail machine has to cross Degånå and it can be challenging if there is not enough ice but the track driver will make a snow bridge: however, there is also a separate narrow bridge that you can go over to remain dry.

During Easter, if you are heading toward Jogledalen and back to Hønedalen, the snow on the main part of the trail between Fidjeland and Deveien will not be groomed.
